School Laboratory Management Training Road-show in West Jakarta
 
 
We have a concern that there are many teachers who still have difficulties in using educational aids in schools. Therefore, we are hoping that our training road-show program will help them in improving their knowledge on educational aids usage in school.

Through “Pudak Cinta Guru” (Pudak Loves Teacher) movement, Pudak  Scienctific was once again organized a laboratory management training that was held upon the collaboration of Pudak Scientific and the MGMP Guru IPA (The Forum of School Subject Teachers of Science Teachers). This training was held on Saturday, April 5, 2015 at SMP Negeri 176 Jakarta, Jl. Duri Kosambi, Cengkareng, West Jakarta and was attended by 38 teachers, members of MGMP Guru IPA of West Jakarta.

This event was expected to be able to improve teachers’ skill and knowledge in managing laboratory and using the educational aids.

In the event, teachers were introduced to the important of laboratory management and maintenance of several particular tools available in laboratory. In addition, teachers were invited to directly trying some of science educational aids, such as the ones in the experiment of:
  • mechanical basic measurement by using calipers and micrometer screw, electrical basic measurement, Ohm law experiment, transformer experiment
  • microscope knowledge, making of wet preparation by the technique of coating leave surface using nail polish, solution preparation
  • balance usage
  • water pump experiment
Participants were very enthusiastic in following each stage of this training that end at 17.00 WIB and it was closed by photo session of all participants and Pudak Scientific team.


Along with the activities in Jakarta, we were also conducting the basic level of Science Laboratory Management training in Pudak Training Center Gedebage Bandung, acting as the speaker was Dr. Hj. Yunita, M.Pd.

In this training participants, comprising teachers and laboratory staff, were invited to manage laboratories in their respective schools, they were also invited to do some lab work that is often implemented in learning process activities at school.

One participant said that with this training, many new terms obtained by the teachers, so that in the future they can improve the quality of teaching in their respective schools.
